ABOUT THE ROLE

Cross-chain infrastructure is where the next generation of financial rails is being built. The Fast Bridge connects Mintlayer and Ethereum. ZK Thunder settles on Mintlayer while remaining EVM-compatible. Future Bitcoin atomic swap expansions will make Mintlayer a hub for some of the most significant capital flows in the ecosystem.

This is a role for someone who has thought deeply about what it actually takes to move value across chains securely — not theoretically, but in production. The technical surface spans Rust, Solidity, and ZK proofs. The opportunity to be the person who built the interoperability layer for one of the most ambitious Bitcoin finance protocols ever launched is genuinely rare.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Own the Fast Bridge architecture and all cross-chain integration points between Mintlayer, Ethereum, and ZK Thunder
• Design and implement secure bridge relay mechanisms with explicit threat modelling
• Optimize bridge latency for institutional-grade use cases
• Audit and review all bridge-adjacent code changes before mainnet deployment
• Design the Bitcoin atomic swap expansion roadmap
• Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure for bridge health
• Coordinate with the Blockchain Security Lead on external bridge audit engagements

WHAT YOU BRING

• Production experience building or auditing cross-chain bridges
• Familiarity with HTLC, optimistic, or ZK bridging mechanisms
• Solidity and Rust dual proficiency preferred
• Security-first mindset — bridge security is existential, not peripheral
