ABOUT THE ROLE
Mintlayer's finance team is being built in Abu Dhabi at a moment when the UAE is positioning itself as the global hub for institutional digital asset finance. The Finance and Accounting Lead owns management accounts, month-end close, and the financial reporting pack that leadership and investors use to make decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- Produce monthly management accounts and the financial reporting pack for leadership review
- Own the month-end close process: reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries across all entities
- Process vendor payments and maintain the AP ledger, including crypto and fiat payment workflows
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors
- Maintain the accounting system and ensure accurate transaction classification
- Support the Head of Accounts on board-level financial reporting and investor due diligence
- Assist with payroll processing and coordinate contractor payment schedules
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years finance and accounting, ideally in fintech or crypto
- ACCA, CPA, or equivalent in progress or completed
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
- UAE financial reporting familiarity preferred
