ABOUT THE ROLE

Mintlayer's community spans Bitcoin advocates on X, DeFi users on Telegram, protocol developers on Discord and GitHub, and institutional observers on LinkedIn. The Comms Lead is the human voice that connects all of them to what the protocol is actually doing.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Own Mintlayer's day-to-day social media strategy and execution: X, LinkedIn, Telegram, and Discord
• Build and maintain the community newsletter cadence: content calendar, drafting, and distribution
• Manage community health during protocol events: launches, incidents, and milestone announcements
• Bridge between the technical engineering team and the community with accessible protocol update language
• Monitor community sentiment and escalate material concerns
• Manage the Discord server structure, moderation standards, and ambassador relationships
• Coordinate with the Product Marketing Manager on product launch community activation plans

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3+ years crypto community or communications role
• Deep familiarity with Bitcoin and DeFi communities and their culture
• Strong writing with authentic voice — corporate-speak is disqualifying
• Experience managing community during sensitive periods: downturns, launch delays
