ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for two Cloud / DevOps Engineers to build and maintain the infrastructure for Mintlayer Web Services. As we build AWS for Bitcoin, our reliability and deployment speed are paramount. You will be responsible for the orchestration of our Go-based microservices and the globally distributed network of Rust-based Mintlayer nodes. Core working hours: 10am–1pm CET.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Infrastructure Automation: design and implement automated deployment pipelines for the MWS API layer and the Mintlayer core node
• Node Orchestration: develop tools for rapid deployment, scaling, and monitoring of Mintlayer nodes across multiple cloud providers
• Monitoring & Alerting: build comprehensive observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to monitor network health and API performance
• Security & Compliance: implement and maintain network security protocols, firewall configurations, and automated vulnerability scanning
• Disaster Recovery: design high-availability architectures and failover strategies to ensure MWS remains resilient

REQUIREMENTS

• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker for managing production clusters
• Strong experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible for Infrastructure as Code
• Previous experience running blockchain nodes (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) is a strong plus
• Ability to write automation tools and operators in Go (Golang) or Python
• Deep experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins for CI/CD of Rust and Go codebases
• Experience with VPCs, IAM, Secrets Management (Vault), and mitigating DDoS attacks
