Mintlayer Development Update - May
June 2, 2026

This month, development efforts focused on improving documentation, advancing hardware wallet support, enhancing the wallet experience, and continuing core network improvements.

Core

Core version 1.3.1 was released this month, bringing several improvements and fixes across the protocol. Highlights include updates to transaction processing and validation, improvements to networking reliability, and a number of bug fixes that further strengthen overall node stability.

  • Fixed wallet handling of V1 order command conflicts, allowing confirmed ConcludeOrder and FreezeOrder transactions to replace conflicting unconfirmed order transactions correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the wallet in cold mode would always use input commitments v0, thus producing signatures that may no longer be valid at the current height.
  • Fixed an issue where the wallet in cold mode would still try to access the mempool, which would cause wallet-cli to print lots of error messages like “Method is not available in cold wallet mode”.

Documentation

Work continued on the Mintlayer documentation portal with the goal of creating a more structured and accessible resource for developers and ecosystem participants. The ongoing improvements are aimed at making it easier to discover information, understand core concepts, and build on Mintlayer.

Mojito Browser Extension Wallet

Work continued on a broader UI revamp for Mojito Wallet. The redesign focuses on improving usability, simplifying common workflows, and delivering a more polished experience for both new and existing users.

Wallet CLI

Development of Ledger hardware wallet support remains in progress. This work will provide users with an additional option for securely managing their assets while interacting with the Mintlayer ecosystem.
