This month, development efforts focused on strengthening reliability across the wallet, improving network performance, and continuing to simplify the experience for developers building on Mintlayer.
Core
On the core side, several improvements were implemented in the node’s peer-to-peer networking layer. These changes contribute to a more stable and efficient network, supporting better communication between nodes and overall system performance.
Wallet
The wallet saw meaningful updates aimed at improving both usability and resilience. The seed phrase import process was enhanced to provide a smoother experience, and a fallback Bitcoin service was introduced to improve reliability when interacting with Bitcoin-related functionality.
An issue affecting offline usage was also identified during this cycle, with a fix currently in progress and expected to be resolved this week.
Explorer
The Explorer was updated to address wallet connection issues, resulting in a more stable and consistent experience when interacting with on-chain data.
SDK
Work continues on improving the developer experience. Current efforts are focused on simplifying Mintlayer integration, making it easier for external developers to build and deploy on the network.
Mintlayer continues to prioritize reliability, performance, and ease of integration as the ecosystem evolves. Each improvement brings us closer to a more robust and accessible infrastructure for developers and users alike, with more updates to follow in the coming weeks.
