April has brought continuous refinement and significant progress to our platform, with key developments across wallets, tools, and the ZK Thunder Network. Here’s a quick look at this month's accomplishments and ongoing improvements:

Mintlayer Core Progress

  • Our core team continues general bug fixes, performance improvements, and steady progress on planned long-term network upgrades to ensure robust performance and reliability.

ZK Thunder Network Updates

  • ZK Thunder Network’s testnet is fully operational, currently awaiting additional security reports to continue to improve and refine the network.

  • Certik Bug Bounty: Still active—developers and community members can earn up to $20,000 in ML coins by helping identify and report security issues.

Fast Bridge Development

  • Active development continues on the Fast Bridge connecting ZK Thunder Network to the Mintlayer Mainnet, especially focused on Ethereum integration for ML-ETH. Progress is closely tied to ongoing SDK and wallet enhancements.

Wallets and SDK

  • Browser Extension:

    • Network call optimizations, various bug fixes, and usability improvements.

    • Development underway on the Web3 interface enabling users to securely sign external transactions and messages directly from the browser.

  • Mobile Wallet:

    • Multiple fixes and stability enhancements rolled out, particularly addressing performance on Android devices.

  • SDK and Wallet Connectivity:

    • Significant progress made in connecting Mintlayer wallets to external web pages. Public release of updated SDK packages expected shortly.

Explorer Enhancements

  • Added token editing functionality and validation form for better asset management.

  • New capability allowing verified tokens to receive a "Verify" mark displayed prominently on their token page, increasing transparency.

Token Factory Update

  • Development of the Token Factory is nearing completion. Final integration awaits the wallet update, enabling users to seamlessly sign third-party transactions during token creation. Expect this tool soon, simplifying the token minting process on Mintlayer.
